Fertilizer Canada and Tractors for Africa unite to promote fertilizer in Ghana
Fertilizer Canada, representing fertilizer manufacturers and distributors in Canada, and Tractors for Africa, which provides mechanized solutions to co-ops, signed an MoU in mid-October to implement the 4R Solution for Fertilizer Supply project with the goal of increasing the productivity and incomes of smallholders in Ghana.
The project involves incorporating 4R Nutrient Stewardship (Right Source, Right Rate, Right Time, Right Place) into fertilizer management practices. It is supported by Global Affairs Canada and is partnered with the Co-operative Development Foundation of Canada and the International Plant Nutrition Institute Canada.
